Step 1: Smart food choices

Start by stopping delivery orders. Instead, opt for takeout. Call the restaurant or order inside, and bring your delicious meals home. It's a small change with a big impact on your eating habits.

Cook for yourself or have someone do it for you.  Heat up something, microwave it, deep fry it, or air fry it (p.s., air fryers are great to eat already frozen fried french fries, chicken strips, tater tots, etc.)

Step 2: Embrace all foods, but No Fast Food!

My plan allows you to eat all food, with one important exception:                                                  No Fast Food!

Enjoy meals from restaurants serving rice bowls, pizza places, Chinese restaurants, and even chicken wings.

Dine-in or take-out from Applebee's, Chili's, or Olive Garden, etc... is also perfectly fine. It's about making conscious choices, not starving yourself.

Fast food restaurants follow the phrase "Fat equals flavor".  They need to put fat into the food to make it melt in your mouth.

I personally don’t cook well, and sometimes for dinner, you don’t know what to eat.

Do not sleep on microwave TV dinners.  The first thing people say about them, is “oh, the sodium is high.”  Think about it.  If you eat fast food, the sodium is through the roof!

Step 3: Jumping Jacks

For exercise, I recommend 20 jumping jacks a day. You can start with a few and gradually increase over time.  If not, try jumping in place. This minimal exercise, combined with smart food choices, is surprisingly effective. It truly is mainly all about the food, but a little movement goes a long way!

Step 4: The Schedule

The schedule:  I eat breakfast, a snack, lunch, a snack, dinner, dessert, and a snack before I go to bed.  My schedule is based on time.   You will never be hungry.  Do not try to make everything healthy.  Anything at the grocery store is fair game.  (Don't forget frozen food and TV dinners.)  Snacks are important between meals so that you never feel hungry.

Remember: NO FAST FOOD

  • 7 am – Breakfast
  • 10pm – snack
  • 12 pm – Lunch
  • 2 pm -snack
  • 4 pm - snack
  • 6 pm - Dinner and dessert
  • Before bed - snack
